Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beats Pierre-Hugues Herbert to win first title since 2017

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga won his very first ATP title given that 2017, defeating fellow Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-4 6-2 to win the Open Sud de France in Montpellier.

Herbert, the seventh seed, was aiming for his initial ATP songs title, but Tsonga just went down 4 points on his offer.

The 33-year-old was only in Montpellier courtesy of a wildcard.

His last success remained in Antwerp in October 2017.

Somewhere else, Britain’s Cameron Norrie shed to Brazilian Rogerio Dutra da Silva in the last qualifying round for the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires.

Having won the very first collection 7-6 (8-6), Norrie shed a second collection tie-break 7-3 prior to Da Silva won the last collection 6-2.

In the Sofia Open final, third seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia defeated Hungarian Marton Fucsovics 6-4 6-3.
